The foundation stone of the Japanese Hino truck plant will be laid in Khimki, Greater Moscow in April. The relevant statement has been made by the deputy chairman of the region Vadim Khromov in Tokyo.
“We have carried out negotiations with the managers of Hino. The date for the foundation ceremony will be chosen in April. Our Japanese colleagues expect the launch of production in Moscow region within a year” – said Khromov.
The vice-president of Hino Motors Ltd Satori Mori, on the other hand, has expressed his gratitude for the support provided by the regional government on the project. “I dream of the day, when the factory commences operations and our trucks travel on Russian roads” – Satori Mori told.
Land works are going on at the site, where the plant will be located, at the moment. The investors plan to complete the construction of the workshops by the end of the year.
The annual production capacity of the Hino truck plant will be 2000 units. Japanese investors will invest $17 million in the project.
