Russian new bus market has grown by 11% in 2018

Russian new bus market (excluding LCVs) has amounted to 13 thousand vehicles in 2018, following a 10.6% year-on-year rise.

Russian manufacturer PAZ has become the leader of the market, with more than 60% share of the total volume. 7602 PAZ buses have been sold, reaching the sales figure of the previous year.

All the top-3 most popular buses in the Russian new bus market is formed of domestic brands. LiAZ occupies the second spot with approximately 1686 units (+14%) and Nefaz comes third with 774 units (+57%). The top-5 is completed by Belarusian MAZ with 639 units (+78%) and Volgabus with 580 units (+60%).

The small-class, high-floor PAZ-3205 has become the best-sold model in the Russian new bus market, with a sales figure of 3,755 units (+11%). Second and third places are also occupied by the models of Pavlovsk Car Factory: small-class PAZ-3204 with 2532 units (+1%), high-floor medium-class PAZ-4234 with 855 units (-2%). The midium-class, high-floor Nefaz-5299 occupies the fourth place in the ranking with 771 units (+54%). Large-class, low-floor LiAZ-5292 completes the top-five with 719 units (+4%).
