As announced by the company press office, Kamaz and UzAutoTrailer, part of Uzavtosanoat, have signed an agreement, proposing the creation of the “Kamaz Asia Centre” joint venture. The product of the joint venture – gas modification Kamaz vehicle with RGK engine – has been presented at the ceremony held in Uzbekistan, following the signature of the agreement.
The development and control of dealer and service centres for Kamaz trucks in Uzbekistan, provision of warranty and after-sales services, as well as the development of the exports of the products of UzAutoTrailer and other enterprises of Uzavtosanoat to Kamaz have been identified as the main tasks of the “Kamaz Asia Centre” joint venture.
As reported earlier, the production of KAMAZ vehicles in Uzbekistan has started at the facilities of UzAutoTrailer in Samarkand region, at the city of Dzambai in April 2018.
The initial production capacity is planned as 500 gas-engine vehicles per year, to be increased in due course. The vehicles will be equipped with gas cylinders, certified according to international standards. The element base of the gas equipment will be made of parts and assemblies produced by leading global manufacturers. Further gradual localisation of gas cylinder elements is within the plans of the company.
