Scania has started the production of new generation trucks in Russia

Scania has launched the serial production of new generation trucks at its St. Petersburg plant, using CKD method, as annouced by the company.

Equipment has been modernised, new methods of equipment programming and quality control have been introduced, technological operations for the installation of dump-truck bodies on superstructures have been improved and the staff has been trained in the plant, for the implementation of the project. 400 new generation Scania dump-trucks are planned to be manufactured until the end of 2018.

The first new generation Scania heavy trucks were shipped to Russian customers in August 2017.
