Hino plans to start the construction of a truck factory in Russia in August

Japanese truck manufacturer Hino, which is a part of Toyota Motor, will start the construction of a factory for the production of light-duty trucks in Khimki in August, as told by the governor of Moscow region: Andrei Vorobyov.

“We’ll start the construction of  another plant for Japanese Toyota in Khimki, where Hino division will operate. The factory will not be so large, with a capacity of 2000-3000 units, however, very important. Light-duty trucks will be manufactured at the facility…” – said Vorobyov.

As told by Vorobyov, the Moscow region plant of Mercedes-Benz, which plans to commence operations within the first quarter of 2019, has already started production line tests.

“They are already testing the automobiles, painting line etc. Vehicle production will be launched in the first quarter” – Vorobyov said, commenting on the questions about the Mercedes-Benz plant.
