Sollers and Ener Zet plans to manufacture lithium-ion batteries in the production site of Sollers in Vladivostok, as stated by Sollers, following the signature of a memorandum of understanding between the parties.
Sollers also considers the possibility of entry to the capital of the future enterprise and plans to purchase the products of the joint venture, for the requirements in the production of automobiles with electric traction batteries.
“We predict that within the forthcoming years, transport vehicles using alternative sources of energy will become more and more widespread in Russia, as well as in other major markets and the main share of the market will belong to the hybrid automobiles. The new plant in Vladivostok may become the largest production site of Ener Zet, according to the general director Dmitry Serebryakov.
