Russian truck market has grown in 50,4% in 2017 in comparison with the same period of the previous year. According to Autostat data, 80.157 new trucks have been sold in Russia in 2017.
KAMAZ has kept the leadership of the Russian truck market, with 33% share in total. The sales figure of the brand is equivalent to 26.402 units, which indicates a 30,6% year-on-year rise. The leader is followed by GAZ, with 7.777 vehicles (+6,9% y/y). The top-three is completed by VOLVO with 5.978 units (+246,6% y/y). SCANIA (5.699 units; +126,2%) and Mercedes-Benz (5.623; +173,1%) are the remaining brands of the top-five.
KAMAZ 43118 was the best-selling truck model in 2017 with 5.861 units (+26% y/y) followed by Mercedes-Benz Actross (5.062 units; +192,8% y/y) and GAZON Next (4989 units; +12,9%).
