Russian car production has increased within the first half of 2017. According to ASM Holding data, 1.106.565 transport vehicles (trucks, cars, buses) have been manufactured in Russia within the January-September 2017 period, which is equivalent to a 19,3% year-on-year rise.
Passenger cars production has increased by 20,4% during the aforementioned period y/y, with 970.500 units. The production of foreign brand cars in Russia went up 21,9% to 728,1 thousand vehicles.
LCV production has also grown in the same period, by 3,4% to 83,2 thousand units.
Truck production, including light trucks, has risen by 14,4% by the end of the first six months of 2017, amounting to 106,8 thousand units. The output of foreign brand trucks in Russia went up 89,5% to 17,5 thousand units.
Bus production, including microbuses, has increased by 2,5% during the aforementioned period, with 29,5 thousand units. The output of foreign brand buses in Russia went up 4,8% to 7,3 thousand units.
