The government of Russian Federation has approved the strategy for the development of automotive industry exports until 2025. The relevant statement has been published at the government’s website.
In particular, the program provides for the integration of Russian automotive component manufacturers into the production chains of international car producers, as well as assistance to domestic manufacturers in entering new markets. In addition, there are plans to switch the production of large plants to export models, targeting global markets.
Car and car component exports are expected to reach $4.41 billion by 2025.
The strategy for the development of exports in pilot industries had been approved by the Presidium of the Presidential Council for Strategic Development and Priority Projects previously.
