Avtotor has raised its forecast for production growth in 2017 to 50%

Car manufacturer from Kaliningrad: Avtotor has raised its forecast for production growth in 2017, following the results of the first half of the year and adjusted the plans for the second half, as told by a company representative to RNS.

“Avtotor plans to manufacture 140,000 automobiles in 2017” – said the senior vice-president of Avtotor Holding Vladimir Krivchenko during a meeting with the Deputy Minister of Industry and Commerce Viktor Yevtukhov, as quoted by the press office of Kaliningrad region. The figure indicates a 49.7% year-on-year rise. A 37% increase was predicted in the previous forecast, announced in May.

“The production plan until the end of the year is approximately 140,000 vehicles (93,500 in 2016)” – as stated in the report.

The previous forecast was 124-128,000 units until the end of 2017. The relevant statement had been made by the representative of the Avtotor Holding Board of Directors: Valery Gorbunov. The increase was predicted as 37%.

The localisation rate of the company is 30%, according to the report. The company plans to export 20% of the manufactured vehicles in 2018.

Avtotor manufactures BMW, KIA, Hyundai and FAW brand automobiles.
