Hyundai and Avtotor will invest $50 million in commercial vehicle production

RNS – Car manufacturer Avtotor and Hyundai Motor Company will sign an agreement today, as to the full-cycle production of commercial vehicles, as told by an Avtotor representative. The total investment will reach $50 million gradually, according to the representative.

The full-cycle production is planned to start from 2018 onwards. The production in the facility will begin with HD78 only, gradually expanding to the remaining models, he added.

Hyundai passenger car production is being made at Avtotor, alongside BMW and Kia at the moment.

The subdivision of Hyundai: Hyundai Truck&Bus has broken ties with the distributors in the Russian market in 2017 and established its own representative office in the country in February, which currently makes the sales of commercial vehicles. Hyundai Motor Company aims to sell 2500 trucks in Russia this year, as stated by the company.
